Your remarks to the audience were wise and informative and your adjudication and comments encouraging, sensitive and helpful.  You rank among the best adjudicators we have had, and apart from the obvious verbal communication you have something very special which gives extra conviction - you also communicate your sincerity, commitment and integrity.  These are rare qualities in any sphere of life, and ones which we learn to value ever more highly; it is delightful to see them presented as an example to young musicians.  They are also characteristics which have always set you apart from - and above - the great majority of our colleagues. With my warmest respect and affection.

I can happily say that your course is, quite simply, one of the best things I have ever done and I thank you for sharing your wisdom and support with all of us. I feel like I have come away with an addiction and I am longing to stand in front of a group of musicians and feel 'that' feeling again — what a glorious thing!

As a parent of one of the students in the Derbyshire CCYO I would just like to thank you for yet again inspiring the youngsters to perform well above their individual abilities in the recent summer concert.  My own lad returns from these courses fizzing with new ideas and in a frenzy of composition.  It can only be how you demonstrate the essence of the musical elements to the students that inspires them to appreciate the music beyond the surface.  Long may it last.

For our daughter Amy it was the most profound musical experience – you are her hero. As parents we are astounded by what this young orchestra was able to achieve under your inspired guidance.
Best wishes

There were some amazing "corners" in the performance and brought about by the skill and direction of the remarkable Peter Stark. There just may be bigger 'names' out there in the profession, but very few better musicians and almost none to equal Peter's ability to communicate with the players.
